Scandinavian Style Christmas Table With Felt Tree Centerpiece

Scandinavian Style Christmas Table With Felt Tree Centerpiece

We visit Denmark almost every year at Christmas time and are always awe inspired at the charming look of the windows of the homes and shops that are embellished in the simple and crisp colors of red and white. The trimmings just seem to say Christmas all over.

Because we also decorate our tree and room in these colors and because the dining and living area are both located in the same room, we try to have every detail complement each other during the holidays.

We like reindeer and moose motifs as well so we combined these with the typical Danish colors to create a table that has a Scandinavian feel to it. It is warm and cozy and the look is enhanced by the glow of the candle light.

We found place sets and paper napkins with these motifs and even the place cards were created by using a reindeer paper punch and card to complete the ambience.

The felt tree centerpiece reinforces the color of red and is a perfect accent to fill the void in the middle of the table.

Renate's comment: Thank you guys, what beautiful pictures! Isn't it amazing how such a restrained color scheme can produce such a lavish, warm and utterly festive look! (For more great crafting, visit craftideas.info)
