Before & After

Several Dream Home Decorators have new projects to share!

Elisabetta has created an amazing Tuscan bathroom from scratch, with cheap finds, fun ideas and loads of genuine Mediterranean flair. In Ohio, USA.

Tonie is turning a tiny apartment in Saint Petersburg (Russia) into a hardworking and stylish living space-cum-office, making the most of her space and color/style options.

Jai has been transforming a Victorian flat in London (UK) from ramshackle to very nice indeed - check out his extreme kitchen makeover, Victorian front room and serene bedroom, complete with antique Edwardian fireplace.

And Sharon is ditching gray in favor of deep, dramatic and gorgeous in her Arizona (USA) condo.

Please feel free to comment, and even freer to upload your own before-and-after stories - - - we'd love to hear what you're up to!

New Additions: Tuscan Everything

These past weeks, I've been writing about Tuscan interiors - here's an overview of all that's new in the Tuscan Decor section.

Gifts, prints, framed art and creative Tuscan wall art ideas, kitchen design, dinnerware, beds & bedding ...

... if you're into Tuscan, Italian, or Mediterranean design, you'll find a motherlode of information in these pages (with more on the way)!

Shop of the Month/Year:
Liberty's of London

Liberty.co.uk

135 years old this year, and the buildings do look the part. Liberty has just been voted "London's Best Shop" by TimeOut, the definitive London arts/culture guide.

A favorite with Londoners and tourists alike, Liberty isn't just a wonderfully eclectic, high-quality department store. At the turn of the 20th century, Liberty's printed fabrics and accessories were so popular around Europe that the Italian term for art nouveau is, to this day, "Stile Liberty".

Here's their website. (They have an international mail order service, too.) Worth a visit.

Websites of the Month:
Free Online Shelter Mags

Why pay if you can get a free monthly decor fix?

Here are three online 'magazines' to check out:
1. Rue
2. Adore
3. Lonny

Oh, and if you're wondering what this year's Kips Bay Decorator Show House looked like, here's a slide show for you.

Enjoy!

All the Best,
